Contact us to arrange a viewing.

Best days to visit are midweek where we can offer you a full tour of the site.

Weekend viewings are possible but with no access to the house as we always have guests staying. But, together we will explore the grounds, Pavilion and Barn then head to our cottage for a sit down with a cup of coffee and show you a virtual tour of the house along with a collection of photos.

Being a self-catering venue means you can choose if you want to cook yourself, hire in a chef for a dinner party or get in a caterer for your function to suit your tastes and budget. Do check our list of Recommended Suppliers to help you in your search.

For large functions you will need to hire in dinnerware and glassware.

Bar and drinks policy

The Copse is a self-catering venue so you can bring along your own drinks. No corkage is charged however drinks cannot be sold here. The request of a license from the local authority is not permitted.

Things to see and do

We have wonderful gardens to enjoy, garden games, a hot tub, cinema room, games and books in the house. There are plenty of places to visit near and far so do look at our Things To Do Page.

45 guests can be seated for a meal in The Barn.

In the House

We have Sonos available for all to use.

For functions:

You can stream music through our speakers in our courtyard.

You may wish to have someone play an acoustic guitar or the cello in the garden. Do check with us first about what acoustic music is allowed. Amplified equipment or instruments are not permitted outside at any time at The Copse.

In The Barn

The Dance Barn is the place for music in the evening. Here we have a built in Zone Array speaker system that must be used. You can stream your own playlist through this system. Or you can have a DJ or band come who will need to connect to our system – ask us for full details.

Music ends at 11pm.

We are situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and ask that you and your guests respect the peace and quiet it affords. Please see our noise management policy within our terms for more details on this.

Function planning and management

We are a dry hire and DIY venue – so the concept here is that you are hands on with planning and setting up your function. We will of course provide you with some information to help get you started. However if you feel that you would like some extra support with your planning, setting up and or managing your day then do ask, we can put you in touch with the right people.

We do highly recommend that you have someone to manage your day where you have a function with guest numbers exceeding 80.

Dog policy

We are happy to consider dogs so do ask. If this is agreed, then you will be advised of the conditions.
